Anointing and Creativity: How the Anointing Influences Your Creativity

Anointing and Creativity – Is a relationship between the two? Most people think they understand what creativity is and the outcome of the creative process until you ask them for a definition. We consider creative individuals to be those who thrive as musicians, artists, graphic designers, authors, or other art forms. However, when we look at the word creativity, it exposes us to a broader bracket.

Then there’s another aspect that we need to understand, the influence of the anointing on creativity. We have discussed “The Anointing and The Anointed One” extensively this month. We take this discussion further today by looking at how the anointing influences your creativity.

Explaining Creativity

If asked to name creative individuals, you could probably list ten without hesitation. The same goes for the outcomes of the creative process—things like new songs, art on a canvas, inventions, or novels often come to mind. While identifying creativity and its products is easy, defining authentic creativity is not as straightforward.

What is creativity? It’s the ability of the human mind to rise above conventional ways of thinking or acting to generate original methods, ideas, or creations. When viewed through this lens, we can recognize that every human being is inherently creative.

Doesn’t this definition of creativity remind you of someone? Exactly—Jesus Christ, The Anointed One! As you explore the Gospels, you’ll notice how He consistently thought and acted differently, producing extraordinary results in His teachings and miracles. His creativity was influenced by something profound: the anointing. This same influence empowered the apostles after they received the Holy Spirit in Acts 2.

How the Anointing Influences Your Creativity

God formed man from the dust of the earth and then breathed into Him according to Genesis 2:7. When God did this, He wasn’t breathing oxygen into man. What He did was breathe His true nature into Him. As such, when man became a living soul, He was the very image of God that displayed His attributes. One such attribute is “creativity,” the ability to birth something from nothing.

The “law of first mention” directs us to the first time the word “create” was mentioned in the scripture. In Genesis 1, the earth was formless and void, completely empty. Yet, God formed the beauty still unveiling before our eyes from that “nothingness.” Have you been lacking in creativity in recent times? Here’s some good news: “you have God’s creativity inside you.”

Here are a few ways that the anointing influences your creativity

Discovery

Artists, designers, musicians, writers, and other craftsmen aren’t the only creative individuals. Every human being is creative, but not everyone has found their niche. If you fall into the group that is yet to discover their place, then this is the first thing the anointing does.

You cannot express creativity without first discovering where you should be. Imagine telling Steve Jobs to perform music like Beethoven or Don Moen to make investment decisions like Warren Buffet. Discovery is the key to unlocking your creativity, and the easiest way to achieve this is through the anointing.

Jesus Christ told us that the Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth, including the truth about “who we are.” Understanding who you are, why you are here, and your innate abilities lead you into a new creative dimension.

Generates power

Knowing your abilities is just one step of the process. Heaven and earth had so much potential, but there was still darkness on the face of the deep. God had to generate power for the creative process that was about to occur. Because of this, the “Spirit” brooded over the face of the deep. It was only after this event that God said, “let there be.”

Do you feel like your creative juices are running dry? Have you been struggling with creativity for a while? You need to generate power to boost your creativity and fill your tank. Spend some time praying in tongues, studying the Bible, listening to ministry resources, etc. An excellent place to begin is by subscribing to The Messiah, GodKulture’s devotional. The anointing generates the power to come up with that new idea, write that song, complete that painting, invent that solution, etc.

Focus

Focus is an essential aspect of the creative process. We often struggle while trying to create because our minds are clogged with loads of worries. You are never going to create optimally with a worried mind.

The anointing breaks the yoke and lifts the burden. When you spend time fueling your anointing levels, your mind becomes worry-free. You get yourself in the right frame of mind to create by doing this.

Inspiration

We often struggle with inspiration and can’t seem to come up with new works. One thing the anointing does for you is to keep you “inspired.” Let’s go back to Jesus Christ for a minute. Do you realize that He performed miracles and taught differently? He had a new parable to pass every message and a new way to heal every disease. All of this was because of the anointing.

You too can enjoy this level of inspiration by tapping into the anointing. It gives you a unique advantage that opens you to new realms of revelation and inspiration. Music, art, business ideas, inventions, and even everyday decisions become easier at this level.

Conclusion

It is impossible to rule out the place of the anointing in our creativity. This post has established that every human was designed to be creative. It also shows us how the anointing influences our creativity. Again, if you are struggling to be creative now, it may be because your anointing levels are low. Spend some time to fuel up and watch your creative juices soar.
