How a Supernatural Encounter with Jesus Changed Bryce Crawford’s Life and Calling

For Bryce Crawford, that season of questioning became the foundation for an encounter that would completely shift the direction of his life. Speaking with CBN News, Crawford shared that a dream he had in May 2023 became the turning point in his life.

Like many believers searching for clarity, he was looking for confirmation. What he didn’t expect was that God would use a dream to reveal the next step. 

The Dream That Changed Everything

Some moments in life seem ordinary at first but become defining points in our journey. For Crawford, this dream became one of those moments. According to CBN News, he saw Loren Cunningham, the founder of Youth With A Mission, a ministry known for taking the Gospel to the nations in a dream. When he woke up, he knew something significant had happened.

He recalled:

“I woke up from the dream profusely crying. It was in that dream God revealed to me to record these conversations that we were already having with people just to encourage believers to be bold for their faith. And it was from the very first video that we posted that God used it, and, wow, continued to use it.”

What started as simple conversations recorded for encouragement soon grew into a ministry that would impact countless people online. Looking back, Crawford sees God’s hand in it all.

Saying Yes To God

It’s easy to celebrate someone’s success, but we often miss the obedience that came before it. Every God-given assignment begins with a choice. Will you trust Him enough to take the next step, even when you cannot see the whole picture?

For Crawford, saying yes to God’s direction made all the difference. Reflecting on where his life might have ended up otherwise, he said:

“I would probably be doing a job that God did not call me to, and miserable, and being outside of God’s will for my life. I think that’s what would’ve happened. Would not be a great place. So I’m very grateful for saying, ‘Yes.'”

The Story Started Before the Dream

While the dream helped launch his public ministry, Crawford’s journey with God began years earlier. In fact, one of the most significant encounters of his life happened during one of his darkest seasons. Like many young people struggling to find hope, he battled depression and anxiety for years. The weight of those struggles became so overwhelming that he began to see no way out.

At just 17 years old, Crawford reached a breaking point. Convinced that ending his life was the only way to escape the pain, he found himself standing at a crossroads.

Then came an encounter he says he can never forget. He shared:

“I had depression and anxiety for years. And, when I was 17, I planned on taking my life because I thought it was the only way to get the pain to go away, and that night I had a supernatural encounter with Jesus where God revealed to me, maybe the reason I don’t know that He loves me is because I haven’t given myself a chance to love Him back.”

Instead of surrendering to hopelessness, he turned toward God with a desperate prayer. Crawford remembers crying out to Jesus to take his depression and anxiety away to prove He was real. Telling his story, he said that he has never had any of both since then. For him, that encounter was more than an emotional experience. It became the beginning of a transformed life and a deeper relationship with Christ.

God Still Meets People Today

Bryce Crawford’s story is ultimately a testimony of God’s pursuit. From a teenager battling depression to a young man searching for purpose, every chapter of his journey points to a God who sees, speaks, and intervenes.
