Hello, Holy Spirit Devotional Week 28 – Hello, Revival

Devotional

Revival begins with knowing His heart.

You may not come from a lineage of covenant or generations of faith, but through the Holy Spirit, you were grafted in, an adopted child. But just like Ezra, we can feel a deep sense of shame and disgrace due to our sins that make us feel completely disconnected from God.

“O my God, I am too ashamed and disgraced to lift up my face to you, my God, because our sins are higher than our heads…” — Ezra 9:6

Repentance is deeply personal. Revival doesn’t begin with crowds or emotion—it begins with repentance. Ezra modeled a powerful response: he set his heart to study God’s law, to live it, and to teach it faithfully. This posture of devotion is what lays the foundation for true renewal.

Hello, Revival!

The Holy Spirit draws us near. Through grace, the Holy Spirit teaches us to see God’s law not as a weight, but as a window into His holiness.

This is where revival takes root, not in crowds, not in noise, but in a wholehearted return to the Father’s heart.

PERSONAL REFLECTION

Jesus makes revival personal. Take a moment and ask yourself: Where do I need my own awakening?
What part of your heart, mind, or life is Jesus calling to revive?

CALL TO ACTION

Spend 10 minutes today in quiet, personal revival.

  • Open your Bible to Ezra 7:10.
  • Write your own version of that verse:
“I will set my heart to ________, to live it, and to teach it.”
  • Journal your answer to the question: Where do I need revival today?
  • Ask the Lord what He wants you to return to: His Word, His ways, His presence…

Optional: Start a “Revival Journal” and track daily moments where He draws your heart back to Him.
