Hello, Holy Spirit Devotional Week 34 – Hello, Love

Devotional

Encountering God’s Infinite Love

Love is infinite. It crosses the finish line of time and reaches into eternity. To gain everything is to know God fully, not just in wisdom or knowledge, but at His core.

When Moses asked God what to tell the people, God said, “Tell them I AM has sent you” (Exodus 3:14). In that moment, we glimpse eternity. Paul later shows us in 1 Corinthians 13 that I AM is revealed in action, lived truth, not theory. Every statement is love in motion.

Every expression of love in 1 Corinthians 13 reflects God’s character. It calls us to mirror that love in our own lives. To gain everything is to love as He loved us, selflessly, sacrificially, and unconditionally.

Hello Love: I AM

I AM LOVE

I AM patient and kind (1 Corinthians 13:4)

I AM not envious or boastful (1 Corinthians 13:4)

I AM not arrogant or rude (1 Corinthians 13:4)

I AM not insisting on my own way (1 Corinthians 13:5)

I AM not easily angered or resentful (1 Corinthians 13:5)

I AM not rejoicing at wrongdoing, but rejoicing with the truth (1 Corinthians 13:6)

I AM bearing all things, believing all things, hoping all things, enduring all things (1 Corinthians 13:7)

Scripture reminds us, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (John 15:13), a love Jesus extended to the whole world through the giving of His one and only Son (John 3:16). Through His example, we are called to love beyond limits, trusting that in doing so, we fully encounter Him and His presence in our lives.

We see how Jesus embodies perfect LOVE: He bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things (1 Corinthians 13:7).

PERSONAL REFLECTION

– Where have I been impatient when God asks me to be patient?

– Where have I expected kindness without offering it first?

– Which records of wrongs need to be surrendered to God?

TAKE ACTION

– Choose one “I AM” statement today and live it out toward someone.

– Journal how it feels to respond in God’s love instead of your own strength.

– Speak one “I AM” statement aloud every morning as a declaration of who God is in you.
