Hello, Holy Spirit Devotional Week 42 – Hello, Protection
The Holy Spirit within us is a guarantee that we belong to God. Thus, we do all things through Christ who saves. God’s protection is part of the role of the Holy Spirit in us. The Spirit warns us at times of danger and, most importantly, in times of sin. God, through His Spirit, protects us from hurt, harm, and dangers seen and unseen.

That we have identified as Christ’s own, He made a way through His Spirit to protect us. The guarantee of being saved and having a home on high should help us to feel secure. We are never alone as believers. Most importantly, on the day of our death or rapture (whichever happens first), we are set apart from others to live in His presence. God, through His Son, redeemed man and washed away our sins. Dying on the cross for our past, present, and future sins. Who needs bodyguards when we have the spirit of God Himself protecting us?
Now we don’t want to test God’s protection by doing something silly like walking into traffic without looking. However, when it comes to the evil and wickedness of this world, God’s Spirit protects us.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS
- How can I trust in God’s protection without taking unnecessary risks or acting recklessly in my daily life?
- When faced with the evil and wickedness of this world, do I respond with faith in God’s protection, or do I allow fear to guide my actions?
TAKE ACTION
Live in Alignment with the Holy Spirit:
- Reflect on your daily actions and decisions to ensure they honor God and do not grieve the Holy Spirit. Ask yourself, “Does the way I live reflect my identity as God’s own?”
- Commit to making choices that align with God’s will, such as showing kindness, avoiding sin, and seeking opportunities to serve others.
Be blessed.
