Hello, Holy Spirit Devotional Week 49 – Hello, Assurance

Devotional

Putting our trust and having assurance in Jesus with everything concerning us is not an easy thing to do sometimes. Situations and even people can shake our confidence of what God can do in our lives. Despite all of the calamity and discord that we may face, the Word of God encourages us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and have confidence in knowing that He will show up according to His word and His plans. Trusting in God is a daily practice, but the Word of God assures us and reminds us that He is a God who hears us in our time of trouble.

Assurance

Are you feeling overwhelmed with what life is throwing at you? Do you feel unsure that things will work out? I’m here to encourage you, brothers and sisters in Christ, that our God, who gives all comfort in any situation, hears and sees you. It is written! Jesus, the son of God, who came in the form of a mere man, has come to assure us that we do not have to battle and face life on our own, but to cast all of our cares and burdens onto Him. So rest, knowing that things are taken care of because you serve a God who cares.

PERSONAL REFLECTION

Are you confident in God for the things that He has said and done? Why or why not?

What is one thing that you’re certain of concerning your Heavenly Father?

TAKE ACTION

Pray: Express your concerns to God, laying everything bare and at the feet of Jesus is a form of surrender. Doing this gives God complete access and control of what is burdening you.

Read: When we run to God’s word, He encourages us, reminds us, and assures us that He is all that we need.

Listen to worship music: Being in God’s presence shakes off all doubt and attacks of the enemy when life gets hard.

Meditate: Taking time to reflect on what God has reminded us and assured us gives us the opportunity to hold on to what is true.
