The Art of Start: Making 2024 Your Best Year Ever

Welcome to 2024!

It’s a New Year, and just like everyone, you are starting the year with so many exciting thoughts. Beginning the year with hype and spring in your step is great. However, the question you must answer is, “How do you keep the momentum going to ensure that the year also ends on a high?”

Finding the right answer to this question will ensure that you make 2024 your best year ever. We will share a few tips to help you out in this post.

How to Make 2024 Your Best Year Ever

You probably ended last year saying, “I will do a lot better in 2024.” While saying this, you may have set goals in your head and penned down resolutions. If you did all of this, that’s great, but it doesn’t mean the year will end on a high.

Did you know that only a mere 19% of individuals stay true to their New Year’s resolutions? That’s really poor. It even gets worse when you realize that most of them go back to their old ways by mid-January

This brings us back to the question asked earlier, “How do you keep the momentum going to ensure that the year also ends on a high?” Here are a few things to do to make 2024 your best year ever:

Be intentional

It is normal to start the year with so much energy, like a wrecking ball. You are so pumped up that you are ready to knock down any task and stay on top of your game. Many people start the year in the same manner but lose steam within a few weeks. Do you know why? Because they are not intentional enough.

The onus is on you to be intentional this year. Doing this will be the difference between the results you get this year and what you have had in previous years. How do you become intentional? Here are a few tips:

  • Let God lead the way.
  • Set SMART goals.
  • Write down a strategic plan to achieve your goals.
  • Gather as much knowledge as you can to help you achieve your goals.
  • Maximize your time by doing only things that matter.
  • Work with tech tools that can make your work easier.

Dare to be different

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” This is a very popular quote attributed to Albert Einstein that applies to our everyday lives. You cannot expect different results if you keep doing things the same way.

What did you do last year, and how were your results? If you are honest with your answer, you will realize that there are several things you must change. Dare to be different and do things differently this year. Make adjustments where necessary and watch things change for good this year.

Stay accountable

Accountability refers to being held responsible to specific set standards. When you set goals, draw up a plan, and decide to work with a strategy, you do not always stay true to your words. Usually, this happens because no one is holding you responsible for your words or actions.

This is where staying accountable comes in. You need to get a person or group of people to act as your accountability partner(s). These individuals hold you responsible and act as the driving force to propel you toward fulfilling your goals. Be ready for them to make you uncomfortable, but that discomfort will pay off in the end. Choose people you can trust and respect enough to have them as your push for the year.

Don’t leave God out of your plans

“‭‭‬‬Before you do anything, put your trust totally in God and not in yourself.  Then every plan you make will succeed.” (Proverbs‬ ‭16:3‬ ‭TPT)

You cannot dispute the God factor in ensuring that you make 2024 your best year ever. No matter how much effort you put into setting goals and making plans, you need God’s help to bring perfection.

Spend time praying, studying the Word, and meditating on the scriptures this year. As you do, the Holy Spirit will open up your inner man to what you must do, where you need to make adjustments, and how you can become a better version of yourself.

Conclusion

Making 2024 your best year ever is possible if you take the right steps. We have shared a few tips to help you out in this post. Do you know any others? Please share them with us in the comments section. Visit GodKulture for other inspirational articles.
