Hello, Holy Spirit Devotional Week 32 – Hello, Anointing
FROM OIL TO INDWELLING
In the Old Testament, anointing was a sacred act—oil poured on prophets, priests, kings, and consecrated objects, symbolizing God’s appointment, empowerment, and favor. While Queen Esther wasn’t physically anointed, she was undeniably chosen and spiritually empowered for a divine assignment. With courage and wisdom, she stood before the king, becoming a vessel of justice and preservation for her people.
In the New Testament, Jesus shifts the paradigm: the Holy Spirit Himself is the anointing. No longer external or limited to a few, the anointing becomes a living presence—available to all believers. Through Christ, the Spirit now dwells within us, equipping us with power (Acts 1:8), guiding us in truth, and preparing us for our unique assignments.
This means God’s anointing isn’t confined to titles, age, gender, or social position. It may manifest as a bold word in the right moment, clarity amid confusion, or quiet endurance in trials. Whether you’re raising a family, launching a business, serving your community, or stepping into ministry—if the Spirit lives in you, you are anointed.
HELLO, ANOINTING
Recognize it. Walk in it. Release it.
Take one Spirit-led step of obedience today. No matter how small, boldly declare: “Hello, Anointing. I recognize you. I will walk in what You’ve given me.”
SUPERNATURAL WISDOM AND TIMING
You have access to the Holy Spirit. The anointing may not shout; it often whispers. It may not be seen immediately, but it grows over time. Don’t debate, discern. If the Spirit leads you toward God, stirs something holy within, and aligns with the fruit of the Spirit, trust that it’s real, even when others can’t yet see it.
