The first achievement came in September 2025, with The Chosen Season 1 available in 86 languages. Now, the record has been broken in the series in 125 languages. The goal of the creators of the biblical drama is to reach 600 languages and 1 billion viewers worldwide.

‘The Chosen’ Breaks Guinness World Record for the Most Translated Streaming Series for a Second Time
The Chosen is the first-ever multi-season TV show about the life of Jesus, helping people see Him through the eyes of those who knew Him. The show has received widespread acceptance worldwide and is largely crowd-funded.
Come and See is a faith-based nonprofit organization that is focused on ensuring that all seasons of The Chosen are produced, translated into 600 languages, free, and globally accessible to all. Come and See can make The Chosen free thanks to the generosity of people worldwide who share the mission of sharing the authentic Jesus.
“Come and See” has a translation team made up of theologians, linguists, pastors, and Bible experts who all ensure that the translations are accurate for each diverse culture.
The Guinness World Record award for the most translated streaming series was presented to The Chosen team at ChosenCon, a premier multi-day event uniting fans and creators to celebrate the series’ storytelling. While accepting the award, The Chosen team acknowledged the support provided by Come and See through donations, prayer, and sharing the series, all of which made the translation process possible.
According to Deseret News, Wendi Lord, the lead of the translation team at Come and See, said the team plans to maintain its pace and aims to make every translation available in a dubbed version so that viewers can hear the series in their own language.
Director and creator of the show, Dallas Jenkins, said, “Because of global supporters and the extraordinary work of Come and See and their partners, I’m pretty sure this won’t be the last translation record we break.”
Also, James Barnett, CEO of Come and See, said, “Breaking our own Guinness World Record would not be possible without the generosity of thousands of supporters from all around the world. We are committed to translating and dubbing The Chosen into 600 languages and making it accessible for all. People need to hear the story of Jesus in their own language—the language they speak, dream, and pray in. This recognition is a testament to our team of over 200 expert linguists, local theologians, pastors, and biblical scholars from around the globe, working tirelessly to ensure our goal becomes a reality.”
The translations can be found on The Chosen App, available for download on Android and iOS app stores, as well as on Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, and Roku TV.
