Anne Wilson, a young Christian singer, recently had the opportunity to share the Gospel with thousands of concertgoers in Seattle for Morgan Wallen’s “I’m the Problem” concert.

Anne Wilson, a Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning singer, referred to the event as a dream come true. She is a long-time fan of Morgan Wallen and feels honoured to open for two stops at Wallen’s concert.

According to Crosswalk, concertgoers who turned out in thousands to see Morgan Wallen in Seattle also got a taste of Church when country artist Anne Wilson sang her hits and shared her testimony.

She said, “God truly writes the best stories with our lives. Only He could have put me on that stage.”

Anne Wilson, 23, opened for Wallen at his two Seattle shows at Lumen Field, an NFL football stadium, and his show in Santa Clara, California.

Fans loved her performances. One person wrote:

“THANK YOU for your music and for coming out to see us in Seattle! I had the best time dancing and singing to your songs, and gosh, I could really feel Jesus during your set. Love you, Anne!!!”

Wilson blends country music with a gospel message. Her 2024 album, Rebel, was No. 10 on the Billboard Country albums and climbed to No. 1 on the Christian Albums chart. She received a CMT Music Award nomination in 2024 in the Breakthrough Female Video of the Year category for her song “Rain in the Rearview.”

Wilson says:

“I’m so excited. This is a dream come true for me,” she said in a video before the first night. “I think I just look back on my life and I can only see the faithfulness of God to bring me this moment — to give me this opportunity. I’m only 23 years old, and it just blows my mind to see what God has done in my short little life so far. This is a 100 percent God story.”

One of Wilson’s song title tracks says;

“If you’ve lived through something that only [God] could’ve carried you through, this one’s for you.”

Anne Wilson has lived through something herself in her short life, and she acknowledged that Wallen’s music has been an enormous help and inspiration. After her older brother died in a car accident in 2017, she sat at his graveside listening to country music. At that point, Wallen’s material inspired her to return to the writing room and stick to her roots, country music and the gospel.
