Hello, Holy Spirit Devotional Week 40 – Hello, Healing

Spiritual Sight vs Physical Sight
Healing is a promise of God, yet seeing healing and experiencing it are not always the same. In Scripture, Jesus performed many miracles. The blind received sight, the lame walked, and the sick were restored instantly. These miracles confirmed His authority as the Son of God.
Today, Jesus still heals. Sometimes He uses miracles, and other times His healing comes through His Word and His presence. Healing is not only physical but also mental and emotional. In Matthew 8, Jesus healed Peter’s mother-in-law. Though we do not know the severity of her sickness, she was restored immediately and able to serve. Many others came to Him that day, and He healed them as well. God desires wholeness for all His children.
“He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.” (Psalm 107:20). Pain and suffering in both body and soul can be difficult to understand. Sometimes healing is instant, other times it is a process. In the waiting, we learn to trust God, to rely on His Word, and to look forward to eternity where there will be no more sickness or sorrow. As Paul reminds us, God’s power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Healing Through His Word
Healing is more than an event. It is a way of life rooted in the cross. Jesus bore our sins, our pain, and our sickness. Some healings happen immediately, some develop over time, and some will be complete in eternity. Yet every healing comes from God’s Word and His sustaining presence.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS
- Do I believe that God’s healing covers both my body and my soul?
- How can I trust Him during the process of healing?
- Where do I need to declare God’s Word of healing over my life today?
TAKE ACTION
Today, read Psalm 107:20 slowly and prayerfully. Write down one area of your life that needs healing and speak God’s promise over it. Trust Him with the timing and the process.
