Dennis Quaid and Others Win Big at Movieguide Awards

The thirty-first Annual Movieguide Faith and Values Awards Gala was held recently to honor the best in television and cinema that uphold faith and family values. According to the Christian Post, actors Lori Loughlin and Dennis Quaid as well as movies “Super Mario Bros Movie” and “Jesus Revolution” won big at the event.

The award Gala was hosted by Danica McKellar and Trevor Donovan. It held recently, but the memories are still fresh in our memories. The event which held at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood made its debut on Great American Family on the 7th of March.

Jesus Revolution

The award for the Best Family Movie went to “Super Mario Bros Movie,” while the Best Family TV award was grabbed by “A Paris Christmas Waltz.” “Jesus Revolution” took home the Best Movie for Mature Audiences award, and the Best TV for Mature Audiences went to “Chicago P.D., episode New Life.”Sound of Freedom

As usual, the Faith and Freedom Award was handed to a movie that highlighted faith and freedom. What better movie to take home this award than “Sound of Freedom?” The movie, starring Jim Caviezel, has broken several records since its release. Dennis Quaid took home the Grace Prize, which was given to celebrate performances that highlight God’s grace. 

Apart from the awards, the evening was graced with several musical performances. Quaid performed “Brighter Days” alongside Blessing Offor, the Grammy-nominated artist. To round up the special evening, Candace Cameron Bure of “Full House” led a heartfelt prayer.
