Celebrating God’s Faithfulness: 4 Creative Ways to Celebrate God’s Faithfulness

Celebrating God’s faithfulness is one of the things we should focus on as the year winds down. While there may have been several challenges during the year, we cannot deny that God has been faithful. You may have dealt with disappointments, struggled with work or business, or even lost a loved one in 2022. None of these occurrences and experiences negate God’s love and faithfulness toward us.

When you take a moment to reminisce, you will discover that He has shown you so much mercy and grace this year. How do we celebrate God’s faithfulness? This post will show you four creative ways.

Creative Ways of Celebrating God’s Faithfulness

Psalms 107:1 (TPT) says, “Let everyone give all their praise and thanks to the Lord! Here’s why—he’s better than anyone could ever imagine. Yes, he’s always loving and kind, and his faithful love never ends.”  This scripture extends an invitation to everyone to give God all the praise because He has done far beyond our expectations. When you look at 2022 in retrospect, you will realize how much God has done for you.

Be thankful unto God for His faithfulness

There are several creative ways of celebrating God’s faithfulness. This section will share four of our favorites with you.

Miracle jar

A miracle jar is an exciting and creative way to celebrate God’s faithfulness. How do you go about this? First, you need to get a glass jar. Ensure that it is quite large as this jar would serve you and everyone in your home. Second, you should get small pieces of paper and a pen. Place both items close to the jar. You and everyone in your home can write down testimonies on a piece of paper. After doing this, you can fold the paper and drop it into the jar. Come together as a family, take out the testimonies, and read out God’s miracles that you all have experienced over time. Doing this makes you see how faithful God has been and inspires you to give thanks.

Gratitude Journal

A gratitude journal is one of the best ways to record God’s faithfulness to you and your family. It is similar to a diary. You can write what God has done for you each day. Making daily entries in your journal shows you how much God has done for you over time. Encourage each member of your family to keep a gratitude journal where they make daily entries. You can begin this as you step into the New Year. However, it’s not too late to begin, you can start now. Sit together with your loved ones at dinner or a picnic and take turns reading from your gratitude journals. Doing this gives you a revelation of God’s faithfulness, provision, love, and mercy during the year

Stones in a bowl

This is one of the most creative ways to celebrate God’s faithfulness. To do this, you need to get a glass bowl and some stones. You can either pick stones from nature or buy some at the store. Place the glass bowl and stones at a strategic location in your home. Each time God does something amazing, you can inscribe the date with a sharp object on the stone and drop the stone in the bowl. To make it easier for you to remember, make an entry of the testimony in your gratitude journal. Note that this method works best for families where the kids are quite grown. Toddlers can throw the stones away or hurt themselves and you don’t want that to happen.

Wall of testimonies

This is the final way of celebrating God’s faithfulness on our list. It entails dedicating one of the walls in your home to thanksgiving. You can place a board on this wall, similar to the traditional notice board. Grab a few sticky note sheets and place them close to the board. Write down your testimonies as you receive them, one on each sticky note. After writing each testimony, stick them to the board. Each time you walk past this board, you will be reminded of how faithful God has been to you and your family. You don’t have to do this alone; you can encourage your spouse and kids to join in. This can be your family’s “wall of testimonies,” and you all can go over the wall periodically to give thanks together.
