Hello, Holy Spirit Devotional Week 2: Hello, Deeper

In the beginning, we encounter the Holy Spirit in Genesis, hovering over a world that was dark, formless, and void. This scene captures His nature—a powerful presence that moves over seemingly hopeless situations, bringing light and hope. At the sound of God’s words, “Let there be light,” creation begins. This is who the Holy Spirit is: the One who searches the deep things of God, revealing to us what we cannot know on our own. When you invite Him to dwell within you, He illuminates what is hidden, offering wisdom and guidance that transcends human understanding.

Testimony of Deliverance

Recently, I was led by the Spirit to minister to a woman through prayer. I hadn’t planned to be there, but the Holy Spirit had already whispered that I’d meet someone who needed help. I arrived with a friend and mentor, and as we began to pray, the Holy Spirit’s compassion filled the room, much like the compassion Jesus showed during His time on Earth. The Holy Spirit revealed specific visions and truths, and what began as a visit turned into a powerful moment of deliverance. We prayed fervently and, by God’s grace, saved this woman from the despair that nearly led her to end her life, leaving behind four children with a careless husband.

When we finished praying, she shared her amazement, confessing that God had revealed through us things she had told no one. All I could say was, “Thank you, Father. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Holy Spirit.” Truly, the Spirit searches all things—even the deepest parts of our souls—and brings to light what only He can know.

Let’s Pray.

Personal Reflection

  1. Reflect on moments when you’ve felt an inner nudge to extend kindness or compassion to someone. Often, that voice is the Holy Spirit guiding you. Don’t ignore His leading, especially when He calls you to uncharted paths or prompts you to act beyond your natural inclinations.
  2. Are you ready to go deeper?

Take Action

  1. Journal: Begin a journal to document what you hear the Holy Spirit speaking to you each day. This can be a daily or weekly practice—ideally daily—to capture His guidance in real-time. What is the Holy Spirit saying to you right now?
  2. Prayer: Prayer is a pathway to intimacy with God. Set aside a quiet time each day to declutter your mind and connect with Him. Start with 30 minutes, and as you experience His presence and revelations, watch how that time grows richer and deeper.
