Staying Focused in a Modern Babylon: An Encouraging Word for Today
Hello, GodKulture Community! How do you stay focused in a modern Babylon? In our ever-changing world, it’s easy to get distracted. With big events like the 2024 Olympics happening, we need to remember what’s truly important: living a life full of Jesus’ love.
The Reality of Our Times
It might feel like we’re living in a “modern Babylon,” surrounded by distractions and challenges. But don’t worry! These times were foretold. Our job is clear: to be God’s people, worshiping Him in spirit and truth.
A Call to Worship in Spirit and Truth
Worshiping in spirit and truth means more than just going to church on Sundays. It’s about having a real relationship with God that affects every part of our lives. Jesus said in John 4:23-24 that true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, because that’s who the Father is looking for.
Living Out Our Faith
Even when the world feels chaotic, our mission is clear. We should live our faith genuinely, showing Jesus’ love and truth in everything we do. This means reading the Bible, praying, and being kind to those around us.
The Abundant Life
We are called to love and to live life so others can see the God we serve, even in the most difficult times. Jesus came so that we could have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). This doesn’t just mean having lots of stuff, but having peace, joy, and purpose in Him. Our abundant life comes from our relationship with Christ.
Encouragement for Today
In Luke 12:32, Jesus tells us, “Don’t be afraid, little flock, because your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.” Even when things are tough, we have the promise of God’s kingdom and His love.
Citizens of Heaven, Not of Earth
Remember, we are not divided but united as citizens of heaven here on earth. Nations will unite, but Jesus remains our King.
What’s Next?
As we continue our journey, let’s stay focused on what truly matters: our relationship with God and our mission to be His hands and feet in the world. Let’s support each other, build each other up, and stay strong in our faith.
Call to Action
So, friends, let’s follow the greatest commandments Jesus gave us: love God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-39). This is how we fulfill the law and show the world who we belong to.
Stay alert in mind, body, and spirit. Are you living as a worshiper in spirit and truth?
Let’s walk this path together, with hope, joy, and the assurance that our King is with us every step of the way.
Love and blessings,
Ess.
